After many years spending half his life producing & A&Ring BXR Records at the Media Records studio complex in Brescia, Italy and half DJing every weekend, Mauro Picotto decided in 2003 to dedicate his energies almost totally to his DJ career. Since then he is one of those DJs who spends his life on planes travelling the world playing at festivals and mega clubs. Unlike many DJs, Mauro has concentrated on performing at his own Meganite branded events and parties in London, Miami, Turin, Glasgow, New York, Montreal and every Wednesday at Priviledge in Ibiza. Mauro describes these nights as “electronic music lifestyle” and frequently plays much of his own music designed specifically for the mood & energy of these nights. If anyone were to judge what they may hear at these nights by records Mauro made in the late 90s they would be very far off the mark. Mauro’s sound now is a fusion of funky minimal with the techy edge and melodic elements that were always his trademark sound.

So after returning to the studio with renewed energy, 2007 saw the release of an album Mauro Picotto ‘Now & Then’, a DVD Mauro Picotto ‘Live On Tour’ and singles taken from the album as a fresh and exciting new chapter in his already incredible career.

Having headlined The Gallery’s “Italian Night” last year, the Italian DJ god was asked back to once again spin at the legendary event and club. Having released his 2008 Meganite Ibiza compilation and underground smash “Church Of Nonsense / Gonna Get Ya” with Big In Ibiza, one of the world’s most legendary DJs has now enjoyed 6 successful years in the home of clubbing, Ibiza, as well as played at some of the world’s biggest events and venues and amassed a host of top 40 UK hits over his career.

Supporting Mauro in Ministry Of Sound’s Box was Dr Lektroluv, the German based DJ who has become renowned for his green get-up worn whilst DJing, as well as Mike Koglin and Gallery resident The Viceroy.

Another Big In Ibiza DJ to feature on Ministry Of Sound’s line-up over the weekend was Filthy Rich (who recently had the download chart topping single “Music Is Moving”) headlining The Bar on Saturday night for Roger Sanchez’s Release Yourself.

Launched in 2004 as a mid-weekly event at Privilege, Meganite “electronic music lifestyle” gained instant kudos, becoming the talk of the white isle and all that flocked to it, packing out the dancefloors of the world’s largest nightclub every week. It was Mauro’s never-ending passion and dedication for taking inspiration from his various global adventures and experiences from different cultures, injecting all the worldly goodness onto one dancefloor that made Meganite such a resounding success, providing an innovative atmosphere for all those wanting to experience something unique.

This year sees Meganite open its doors for its sixth and biggest year yet. Promoted in Ibiza by the infamous ‘Richard’ and The Freaks Team of Meganite and held at the newly refurbished Privilege, complete with new sound and lighting system, huge visual displays, new layout and fantastic DJ booth, Meganite is really set to ignite!

Recently labeled an “Ibiza Legend” by DMC Update, over the past six months Chris MiMo has continued to establish himself as a rising star in dance music. His MiMo event has gone from strength to strength, recently launching to a full crowd at their newest party spot in Vauxhall’s Lightbox venue. On top of this, since being signed to Big In Ibiza in the later half of 2008, Chris has also continued to produce anthem after anthem receiving support from some of Dance’s top DJs including Dubfire, Sander Kleinenberg, David Guetta, Robbie Rivera and Jonathan Ulysses (Space) as well as remixing for artists including Mauro Picotto and labels such as Cr2.

Chris has also been busy in the studio crafting his debut artist album, Digital Visions.
